Actually, purple most certainly was not the new “Red” at the CCCS Club Square Dance on Thursday, Feb 7th. Only a couple of peeps donned this color amidst the red wave of square and round dancers.
You might be puzzled? Why wear purple when it is a “Red” themed square dance?
The answer should almost be instantaneous – because wearing purple to a red square dance makes an excellent conversation starter. Almost 95 percent of the dancers inquired as to why I was sporting purple. So, maybe, purple was after all the new “Red” at the CCCS dance with Jason Raleigh and Stuart Lewis.
